MAGYARBŐD APRONS

These aprons are connected with the traditional garments of Upper Hungary, and originate mostly from the 1960s and 1970s. Their colours are generally dark, such as black, dark blue or brown, and embroidered with contrasting threads.

The patterns are created with a type of madeira embroidery: the holes are cut by hand, while the embroidery is created with a sewing machine. The end result is delicate yet distinctive. Our REMADE pieces preserve this dual quality of the original aprons in contemporary pieces.
