The black, frayed end ribbons and posion-like green colour are inspired by stories of everyday encounters with witchcraft in rural Hungary as told by an elderly villager. The matte sheen and slightly acid-wash look of the fabric comes from a complicated weaving technique which creates this effect by alternating darker and lighter threads. Following zero waste principles, this piece incorporates the selvedge of the fabric into the design on the back and one side. Each garment is locally and ethically produced in Hungary using certified materials sourced from qualified, European manufacturers.
