DESCRIPTION
Shirt made from a contemporary and a vintage fabric that achieve similar finishes with different techniques. The modern fabric is a waxed cotton, while the other was created in Hungary throughout the 20th century using traditional blue-dyeing technique. This colour - colloquially named "flame" - is extremely rare due to its costly and laborous production method of submerging the fabric in the indigo dye countless of times, then ironed until the desired shine was achieved. The fabric insert on the back is also a blue-dyed vintage fabric but with a crisper finish. Originally worn as a skirt, the piece features the original lining and hemming. The layered collar is evocative of rose petals.
Each piece is ethically and locally produced in Hungary.
Avoid wearing and washing with light colours, as the colour may transfer.
Due to the vintage nature of the fabrics, each REMADE piece might show variations in colour and pattern.
