Artist Attila Kertész has met ZSIGMOND DORA menswear by a chance encounter, when he ended up working in the studio above the brand’s showroom. Then, as time went on, Dora’s garments became part of his life, as he did of the brand’s. As an urban artist, whose self-exploration manifests through paint, Ati’s immersion in nature and heritage are recurring motifs in his art. Preserving tradition is embedded in his contemporary vision, just as in ZSIGMOND DORA menswear’s: inhale the past, exhale the future.
From the beginning, Ati’s curiosity has been aroused by the innovative design rarely seen in the challenging segment of menswear. Design and comfort meet in the loose silhouettes that highlight the body contours with fabric and proportion rather than with a tight fit, while the ubiquitous colour palette feels close to his own personal style. As someone who wears aprons for painting, Ati was immediately drawn to ZIRC apron with its upper layers reminiscent of the traditional ensembles of Hungarian peasants. Treasuring comfort and functionality, Ati chose KOZÁRD, a reversible quilted barbour jacket crafted from printed deadstock fabric finished with patch pocket and snap closure details. VADUZ t-shirt made from a midweight organic cotton jersey further elevate the comfort level with its boxy silhouette and mock neck. As a staple in everyday wear, he selected ZIRIND trousers, a pair of slim fit trousers crafted from elastic cotton and finished with a rubberized waistband.
