Norbi Kozma’s path has first crossed ZSIGMOND DORA menswear’s at a photoshoot in the early days of the brand. Norbi’s self-identification with the concept and inspiration that each collection builds on has turned work into an effortless creative collaboration. “The way Dora takes up these topics is not forced or cliché, she boldly addresses culture and history, even when it’s not pretty.”
To him, the individual quality of ZSIGMOND DORA menswear pieces is what makes them stand out from mass-produced items. Some garments – like the ochre raincoat that is his first ZSIGMOND DORA menswear piece – slip easily into everyday wear, while bolder pieces turn occasions into lasting memories.
MISKE coat attracted Norbi for the story the vivid cobalt fabric tells. The REMADE coat is crafted from old headkerchiefs made of glossy velvet used in rural Hungary for traditional attire to attend church and weddings in. This is the story Dora has translated through a bomber jacket for a statement in urban wear. A quiet counterpart to the vivacious MISKE coat, ÁTA pants further emphasise the play between the relaxed fit and structured silhouette of ZSIGMOND DORA menswear pieces. GERDE t-shirt adds a subtle layer of comfort with its long boxy fit and midweight organic cotton fabric finished off with a logo on the chest.
